The “Future Shorts Festival” will present the latest international and local short films at Lit Café on December 11 and Snap Café on December 14 in Ho Chi Minh City.
The Future Shorts Festival is the first ever global pop-up festival, showcasing the most exciting short films from around the world. The festival has taken place in over 50 cities and 17 countries so far, and has attracted a worldwide audience of a half-million people.
The December screening will include award winning films such as “God of Love”, a whimsical tale of romance and darts which won the Oscar for Best Live Action Short in 2011 and “Incidence By A Bank” from Sweden, a humorous story about a bank robbery.
There is also the film ”Deeper Than Yesterday”, a winner at Sundance, and some Vietnamese pictures including “The Rip” by Le Binh Giang, and the documentary “Limbo” by Huy Le Khac.
Tickets are priced at VND60,000 and VND30,000 (for students), free tickets for filmmakers, and available at Lit Café, 8 Le Quy Don Street, Ward 6, District 3; and Snap Café, 32 Tran Ngoc Dien, Thao Dien, District 2, HCMC.
