Trieu Thi Ha was crowned Miss Ethnic Vietnam 2011 on December 10 in the final round of a beauty contest held at the Hoa Binh Theater in Ho Chi Minh City.

The 19-year-old from the Nung ethnic minority group beat 60 contestants from 19 ethnic minority groups to win the title. Pham Thi Thanh Tuyen from the Kinh ethnic group was crowned first runner-up while the second runner-up was Son Thi Sura from the Khmer ethnic group.
Ha received a cash prize of VND100 million while the first and second runners-up received VND70 million and VND50 million respectively.
The contest was an opportunity to showcase the unique culture of people belonging to ethnic minority groups as well as highlight the great historical sites in the country, the beautiful landscapes and traditions of Vietnam.
