High-ranking military officers of Vietnam and Belarus shared experiences in building their armed forces and discussed measures to foster cooperation in training and ideological activities.
The discussion was held during talks between Lieutenant General Ngo Xuan Lich, Director of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army, and Major General Aleksandr Nikolaevich Gura, chief of the Main Directorate of Ideological Work of the Belarusian Defence Ministry, in Hanoi on October 8.
Lich said Vietnam always treasures Belarus' effective assistance to the country in the past struggle for national independence and the current national construction and defence.
In recent times, the two countries' cooperation in defence and military technique has been promoted. The Vietnam's Defence Ministry spoke highly of exchange visits at all levels, which contribute to consolidating the traditional friendship ties between the two peoples and armies.
